Sunday we talked about Jesus response to His grief in the death of a close friend - and reminded us we’re not alone in those moments. How can we be praying for you this week?
The death of someone close is always painful, and it's a reality in all of our lives. Today we look at God Himself's response to the death of one of His dear friends, and see how Jesus handled this pain that touches us all.
Happy Father's Day, Dads! We are so thankful for you and all you do!
Tie-Dye Wars is TONIGHT! 6:00pm at Hanshew Middle School. 7th-12th grade students. Cost $0. Your clothes get shot with dye, so... be ready for that to happen....see you there!!
This week we look at Peter, who saw himself as a valiant warrior who deserved to stand at Jesus' side. But Jesus knew him better than he knew himself, and knew the path that Peter had to walk to become the man God wanted him to be.
We talk a lot today about the abuse of power, but is there an appropriate use of power? Or does power innately corrupt? The Bible says of Jesus at His name every knee will bow. That's tremendous power. Today, Dan Krause shows us an interaction between Jesus and his students, and shows us how Jesus uses his authority.
In this week's passage, Dan Jarrell introduces us to a sinful woman face to face and contrasts her with a religious man who could not see his need for God.
“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” - Jesus Christ
Today’s Pastor’s Challenge is to ask one trusted spiritual partner this difficult question. It’s the kind of question everyone needs the answer to, but few have the courage to ask.
Yesterday we talked about Jesus calling himself the “Bread of Life.” His presence is the healthy food we need to eat daily to be well. If you’re wondering where to begin, try this. It’s a 14 day devotional from the words of Jesus, written directly to you http://bible.com/r/XR
"In each of our lives Jesus comes as the Bread of Life - to be eaten, to be consumed by us. This is how He loves us. Then Jesus comes in our human life as the hungry one, the other, hoping to be fed with the Bread of our life, our hearts by loving, and our hands by serving. In loving and serving, we prove that we have been created in the likeness of God, for God is Love and when we love we are like God. This is what Jesus meant when He said, "Be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect." ~ Mother Teresa
This is the story of a man who after 38 years unable to walk hadn't lost hope that things could be different. And how one day, a man walked up and asked, "do you want to be healed?"
To all of the mothers who do so much all year long for those in their care, we love and appreciate you. Happy Mothers Day, from ChangePoint.
In this series we're looking at how different people responded to coming Face to Face with Jesus. First up, Pastor Justin Terry covers John the Baptist we- and demonstrates a principle we'll see throughout the series. When someone personally encounters Jesus, they come away changed.
This coming Sunday, we start a new sermon series called "Face to Face with Jesus." Jesus interacted with all kinds of people from political leaders to the most marginalized in society. In this series, we're looking at some of the dramatic encounters people had with the man who was God - and how their lives were forever changed.
Did Jesus claim to be God? Or was he a human teacher whose followers deified him long after his death?

We hear a lot these days about fake news, but no one has had more fake news told about them than Jesus. With so many conflicting ideas, how can we know what's real and what's fake? Join us this Sunday for Easter, as we explore the claim of the resurrection, and decide for yourself if it's real or fake. Details: We're located at the corner of Raspberry and Minnesota, next to The Dome. There's no expectation to dress a certain way. We'll have childrens programming birth-5th grade at the 9:30 and 11:30 services. Only nursery will be provided at the 1:30 service. An ASL interpreter will be available at the 9:30 service.
The Sunday before Easter is known as Palm Sunday. It's a celebration of Jesus as king. 2000 years ago he was celebrated as the King of the Jews. Today we celebrate Him as Lord, God and King of all.
